I have been seeing in various mails, that people start observing facts
about caste system, but at last end in projecting as though the caste
system is the biggest evil..

This is not true.. Caste system had its own share of problems,
drawbacks.. but those are short comings as in every other system..
THey are NOT evil as being projected..

the caste before britishers were more of religious in
nature, and caste were merely a dharma to a person.. but, since
britishers came from a racist society and background, they saw
everything in terms of race.. and hence they categorized each jaati
as race which formed the basis of present day caste system.. giving
identity to those people, who were not aware of that so far..

In one way, the present caste system, their problems and the
degradation are all british creations...

I wish a constructive debate on this, and i request who dont agree
with me, to be factful based on inferences, and NOT to resort to any
accusations ..

those who believe caste as evil, please dont repeatedly accuse that
caste is evil.. this has been said thousands of times.. so please try
to be objective on why it is called evil, what are the drawbacks, and
the probable historic background on the caste system..

The proper understanding of caste system is essential, because this is
one of the tools used by western countries to denigrate india as whole
and hinduism in particular..

Expecting a constructive response on this..
