I dont care if conversions take place or not.
I agree carrying human excreta is inhuman and degrading. but blaming only the upper caste hindus is not the solution. we all should look within us. the caste system is deep rooted in our society. its been there for thousands of years . hence we all have to make a conscious effort. when it comes to marriages< arranged ones> how many of us look out for matches in the "so called lower castes"i.e lower than the one we are born into. I have seen Jat sikhs marrying only Jat sikhs< and not "Bhapas" i.e the business community among the sikhs> or the Bhapas for that matter marrying say a Tarkhaan i.e carpenter. The same applies to Muslims or Christians in India. A Pathaan or a high caste Muslim does not marry a "Pasmanda" or backward caste Muslim. In Goa I saw in some of the churches seats reserved for "Brahmin Christians". And I saw that the Brahmin christians dont have arranged marriages with the others in Manglore etc. I am not for a moment justifying caste system. its the biggest evil of our society<incidentally it still exists even in Pakistan and Bangladesh>. but by merely accusing them, or spreading hatred we dont achieve anything |
