I am not a communist but not a communist hater either,
Mamata or the writer mr Biswas who has little idea about what Bengal
is or was. Reading and quoting Nirad C Chaudhary does not take you any
where. Ever read Samar Sen ? I wonder if you have heard of him or Syed
Mujtaba Ali. In 1974 to 1978, I along with many opposed CPM at Kolkata
. But slowly the role played by " great "Mahasweta Devi like Kabir
suman or Aparna sen or Bibhash Chakravarty has opened my eyes. I can
see the greedy eyes of these cultural shirks ( some of them are with
CPM also) looking for hunting spaces. Great band wagon of funded NGO
wallahs - who are very vocal in this forum in the name of Social
development (that they think right ) are the biggest enemy so much so
that I often feel ashamed of representing NGO. Mahasweta Devi is a
great writer but her love for poverty and not poor is not acceptable.
However, if you all have some specific agenda of campaigning for anti
- CPM I have nothing to say. But why dont you or for that sake great
patriot like those Magsasay award winners do not ever feel to write
few lines on N - Deal and opposing conversion in religion ? will that
stop the Funding you get from these REAL CZARS .
