It will be good for any informed debate if friends could care to read even government documents like NRRP 2007 or the draft R&R Bill by GoI, instead of now making up what should form the compensation, rehab, etc. It is shameful that some people are making the Singur peasants claim to be a very high one, while no one was bothered about the blinding profit percentage of the TATAs who were only investing in their own industry... The question is when a project is commissioned, who are the actual and real stakeholders? The people who have always been owning and managing their lands or the real estate or industrial company who is wanting to take that land and commercialise it for their own benefits??? Vijayan
