Dear Mr. Venkat, The religion of India has experienced three changes, the Vedic religion which was practised gave way to the brahminism and this in turn to Hinduism. It was during brahminism that Buddhism was born. We have seen the transformation of Vedic religion in to the Brahminism and then in to the Hinduism over a period of time. Then why dont you find out the reasons for this transformation in to one another or in your terms "decline" of the vedic religion and the rise of the brahminism and then" decline" of the brahminism and the rise of the Hinduism? Why dont you like to talk about the rise of Buddhism during the brahminism and blame vedic religion and the brahminism for their decline or fall? Was it not that the Vedic religion and the brahminism were not strong enough to stay for a longer time ?.The Buddhism was on its peak in India for almostmore than 1500 years before its "decline",( in your terms). You seem to be more intersted in discussing the decline of Buddhism!!. Before ending I would like to ask you what is meant by "Sanatana"(Dharma),= eternally pre-existing . Regards, -chikte __._,_.___
