Why not enjoy them and also share them with our less fortunate brethren?As far as the stories about Ram or Bali or any one else are concerned I think they reflect the value system of ancient times. I see no point in bycotting such festivals. They bring joy . Incidentally I am a great admirer of lord Buddha and try to practice Theravaad. Buddha never taught HATRED only MANGAL MATRI.
