I have kept quiet till now because I am disgusted with the type of letters written. I was happy when I was invited to join this list because all my life I have worked on tribal issues and I though of this as an opportunity to share our experiences on this issue. I have kept quiet for a long time because I realise that this list has degenerated into one based on religion. Anyone who disagrees with the fundamentalist groups are called anti-national. I am in other lists too and I notice that the same persons have joined these lists and turned them into their tools. Lakhs of tribals are being displaced for someone else's development and are called terrorists if they resist their marginalisation. They are being oppressed in other forms too and are being used as tools by the communal elements. So it is time we went back to the original purpose of this list. Walter Dr Walter Fernandes
