Dear Sir, If you have experienced seeing one or two NGOs performing not upto the mark, you can not generalise all the NGOs. Most of the NGOs in the country are working in poor and vulnerable situations have contributed much development at a lesser cost. We should also bear in mind that they are the people who are getting the lowest salary(in most cases even below the minimum wages) among various jobs. Due to their commitment and selfless service, they continue to work for the cause with very poor salary. They are not getting salary as it is given in the schools and the colleges. No minimum salary/pension is guarenteed by any Govt. or statutory bodies. Hence please do not generalise the NGOs operating in this country. Best P.Rajarethinam
