Dear Senthil, That is a great observation from your side. I cent per cent concur with your observations. People call the caste system evil, only out of ignorance. As you have said, Britishers are basically responsible for degradation and perpetuation of caste system in India. They denigraded everything that is Indian while thriving on Indian wealth. The present day politicians and political parties are also equally responsible in perpetuating the caste system for electoral considerations.
