The position in Mumbai and Maharashtra has calmed down to an extent. Today the 4th November 2008 happens to be "CHHAT PUJA" a festival celebrated with great fervour in Bihar . The festival has become better known on account of the recent political activities that had taken place in Maharashtra . The political leadership of Bihar has used this occasion of "CHHAT PUJA" as a whipping boy to gain political mileage. The most strange and unfortunate aspect of the Indian polity has been the politicalisation of religious festivals thus the religious fervour that has been its essence has completely disappeared and replaced with the spice of politics within it. This is the irony of the Indian Democracy.
