Dear Mr. Anil Sadgopal, Your comments are very thought provoking and historic in that again in Singur as in Nandigram and continuing opposition in Raigad and all over in Jharkhand, people's unity and will has resulted in the victory of people's power over politicians, bureaucrats, industrialists and so-called global leaders. The real leaders are the people - a point often forgotten. Let us remember that more and more the awakened population cannot be ignored and people prefer peace and tranquility over much-hyped disruptive displacement-oriented mega projects that have no bearing on the happiness of the land-owners and the poor who comprise the majority in the country. I wish to congratulate you and many others who by their perseverance and undaunted efforts, undeterred by failures, keep fighting for just causes of the majority. Ultimately we are coming to a full circle on the Gandhian path of a contented rural India satisfied with small things and devoid of the consumptive nature of the urban and careless elite. Prem P.
