The basic ideology behind this initiatives is to give enough coverage to the issues that are of concern to the workers, farmers, displaced persons, those facing threat of displacement, state policies that are of importance for the poor people, developmental gaps, combating corruption in developmental works, NREGA matters, forest rights, constitutional rights of tribals, legal protection and legal experts to answer questions of the readers. If we want to sum up, we can say, it will be effort to air the voice of the rural people.
We are also going to take up the environmental issues and the doubtful role played by the state pollution control board, irresponsible behaviour shown by the Forest department and also publish report on Ministry of Environment and forests with an eye on the environmental clearances granted to projects in tribal areas.
We also look forward to give ample space to the news of the organisations that are sent to us and are in the larger public interest. We also invite all of you to please contribute articles on a regular basis and also help us to create a net work of reporters down under to the village level so that the news from each and every corner reaches to all corners of the country.
Yes, the long felt need of tribals to have a mouthpiece of their own is being attempted to fill up with our small step taken in the right direction. With encouraging support from all of you and our other friends, we are sure, we will be able to discharge the responsibility to the best of our ability. I also invite all of you to please join us on long term basis to make it a truly national level newspaper of poor and more particularly of tribals.
