Cynthia has laboured to write that proselytization is the right of christains and muslims. All over the globe including India this happenned. It has not brought cheer to the populace. Every region of the world has specicic customs and values. One has to accept and honour this.
Every National government of countries have specific welfare programmes for the people. National Governments have never asked the individuals to convert to a particular religion. Every religion must be like a mother. Mother always sees that her offsprings are happy whereever they are.
Therfore, one need not support his/her arguments because proselytisation is an accepted norm.
According Hindu philosophy god is omnipotent and omnipresent. One need not go to a temple to pray. One can pray in his/her house. Several persons have satisfaction and bliss through this process. The politics of non-entry of certain people in temples has been made a greatest issue that people are alienated. This is non-sense. Hinduism is liberal that a person not visiting temple and questioning certain aspects of relgion has been tolerated as a step towards rationalization and wisdom. Caste system has been promoted as an aspect of division of labour. This has been misrepresented and distorted over the centuries.
We should also remember that atheists are living happily. That is why it is told that whatever we do has to be done after introspection and to the benefit of others and oneself.
Any priest in temple or father in a church or mullah in a mosque have not understood the religion properly over the centuries due to closed nature of religions. Therefore one should be rationalistic and cultivate the habit of helping others by not promoting conversion to their religion.
One christain father (name has been kept secret) from Kerala who has preached for a couple of decades has studied Sanskrit. He says that Religion means capitalism. Therfore, he renounced preaching and started specializing sanskrit grammer and writing books.
Religion and capitalism go hand in hand creating havoc. Therefore, religious teaching can temporarily give releif to people. Universal understanding and fellow feeling should promoted.
