What was the purpose of this information of negative performance of the PSU-s in Steel Sector in 1960-s, now after 40 years? All the projects which had teething troubles as any projects would have esp. under Indian "democratic", "Political" and "Reservation or "son of the soil" conditions that retarded the progress towards reaching break even levels, are now working profitably. All these plants started earning profits soon in spite of negative observations by U.S. then and have expanded their capacities to meet the requirements of the demanding economy. Many Private Sector Steel Plants too have come like Essar and others with Mittal waiting in the wings for establishing the biggest Steel Plant in India. Are the postings in Jharkand Group meant to project a negative picture of the Country always? Be it corruption or tribals or the lack of infrastructure and here about performance of steel plants? Why not people grow up and appreciate the achievements of India as Dr.kalam has often expressed about the high esteem India has achieved in the World economy? |
