Why are the tribes backward? http://www.centralchronicle.com/20080912/1209281.htmFriday, Sep 12 Representation of common people has reduced drastically in the public undertakings and bank services. It is a matter of concern that central and state governments are running several schemes for years for the upliftment of tribals for last 50 years. Even after this such complaints are coming into light. Chairman of personnel, public complaint and legal and judicial affairs permanent committee, Dr EMS Sudarshan Nachiappan says that we have studied right of information, position of SC/ST candidates and promotion opportunities. In prima facie the calculation graph reveals these facts to an extent. Tribal communities percentage in government jobs seems very less. Dalit community is not in such an adverse condition as the tribals are because their representation is very less in services. So getting promotion and acquiring higher posts is a dream for them. The result of last 50 years of the tribal policy is amazing. Several efforts are being made for the betterment and education in new and old Madhya Pradesh, schemes are being run. Work in this direction is continuing. Mostly the thickly tribal populated areas like Chhatisgarh, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan and in the other states the state governments have been paying attention in this direction. Even after these efforts if they are unable to progress then who are the persons taking benefit of schemes for them. After spending crores and billions of rupees if the lot of the tribes has not improved, then it needs investigation. Loopholes should be exposed. However, Nachiappan believes that one of the major reasons is lack of awareness behind it. But question does not stop here, because the government is having a large number of employees and officials and schemes which work in the interest of backward tribals. In fact corruption is one of the main reasons for poor implementation of plans. Along with this there is lack of dedication and dutifulness at every level. ------------------------------------ Replying to this email will send an e-mail to 6000+ members of J-Forum. +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ About Jharkhand Forum @ http://www.jharkhand.org.in/about-jharkhand-forum Jharkhand Forum's Posting Norms http://jharkhand.org.in/posting_norms.htm Add your Name in Members directory - http://directory.jharkhand.org.in Be an Internet Volunteer, find more @ http://volunteer.jharkhand.org.in +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Post your Petition Online @ http://petition-online.blogspot.com MAKE FUNDING APPEAL HERE @ http://FUNDING-APPEAL.blogspot.com For News & Music, Watch Indian TV @ http://Indian-TV.blogspot.com Check out Free Gifts for NGOs at Http://Gift.Jharkhand.Org.In Yahoo!
