Maybe you should read the mails leading to my response more carefully. I am not blaming them for being from another part of India - I just pointed out that these people who don't seem to be anyway concerned with Jharkhand are involved in vitiating all discussions on the listserve. In fact we talk about nothing but Hindutva and evangelical christianity on the listserve. Why don't they start a new listserve where they can share their musings with others who appreciate their hatred, exclusion and anger.They can invite the Al Qaeda and the Christian Rapturists - and argue all they like.

 

How do you think minorities on these listserve feel when Kandhmal violence is being justified by Venkitesh and Kumar.

 

Maybe our moderators can start another listserve for purely religious discussions? Those who would like to rant and rave about their respective religions and affiliations can migrate to that listserve and spare those who have no interest in these discussions.

 

Well if the moderators still don't think they need to moderate these discussions, I for one want out of this listserve. I am pretty sick of the misinformation and unparliamentary discussions taking place here. I wonder if such a discussion on religion with open threats could have come so far in Cgarhnet, where as far as I have seen, no "impolite mails" have been allowed by a very efficient and fair moderator. That is one reason that in that listserve you have much more substantive discussions and it has become an important (yet neutral) force in Cgarh politics.
