Dear Venkitesh jee. Its not true. Adibas and Hindu are not part of the same belief system and has nothing to do with the British rule in India. Adibasi has been in India long before Hindu or aryan came to India and they are of altogether different race from Hindu with their own religion, language, culture and tradition.Of course, they have been influenced by each others way of life over the centuries and have adopted some of each other's practices.Just like at the modern time we are all influenced by the western culture and language in particular English language.I hope you would not mind me pointing this out to the group as I am Adibasi myself and take exception to your assumption.
