Like you, I, too, do not know who did what in this most unfortunate episode and I will wait patiently for an objective inquiry, rather than jump to conclusions on hearsay. Like you, again, I am only defending the right of the people to defend themselves until proven guilty, as provided in the Law. And it is precisely for this reason that I also congratulated Prof. Mushirul Hasan, Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia and the Jamia Teachers Solidarity Group for taking a bold, pro-people and patriotic stand..
