Dear Neelam,
Thanks for this initiative. its very important that we challenge such abusive language. people just dont understand how so called 'humour' perpetuates negative and abusive mind sets, Glad that you have taken the step ot challenge these songs and such language use.

Dear Madam,
Well, you have raised a valid concern. No doubt.
But I doubt this will get any wide support...because:
1) Such songs are filmed on females only. So when the actresses do not have any objection on it, how long other female can oppose this?
2) We have people like Renuka Chaudhuri, who have no objection to the woman going to pubs etc...How long this issue will be supported, i am not sure.
3) Some females do like such songs. This is a fact.
4) Morality is changing dimentions in India. What you are saying is a small thing...There are bigger incidents and trends following...Well supported by females themselves(I will go by the article writers in ToI's sunday editions).
So...i am really not sure, how you would or rather we would change these happenings.
Regards,
Avinash.
