I invite you all to see the funny side of this (and a couple of other) conversations. Perhaps, however, it may be best if these threads are terminated at the present. Let us agree that we all have our divergent perspectives on the issue of religion/ faith/ belief. It is natural for every believer to hold that her/ his set of beliefs is superior or, best or, some such thing. Let us all accept this and hold it to be true without feeling the need to rubbish others (and their beliefs) in any manner.
The vituperation has lessened but not ceased. I submit that even harsh views and emotions need to be framed in a balanced an appropriate manner, particularly when they are being expressed in public. Intemperate expression, even when the say-er is convinced that she/ he is "right", merely vitiates the atmosphere. Even granting a kernel of "truth" to what Dr. Isaacs says, his expression is such that one shuts one's mind to his arguments. And, I may remind him of one of Jesus's most famous sayings- let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
