Sometime back I had written that the problem is not what you believe in but the fact that you believe and the manner in which you hold your belief. Dr. Isaacs proves the point. You dont have to be a Muslim to be a fanatic. Since it is inevitable that people will believe (in something or the other) the crux of rationality/ rationalism, by which Isaacs sets so much store, is the manner in which you hold your belief.
The rest of his polemic in favour of Christian/ Western values is so pathetic that it deserves no reponse. I suggest he read what the Europeans did to the rest of the world during and after (or are we supposed to be still in the age of European enlightenment?) the so called age of enlightenment. Most of the accounts are by Europeans themselves, so Dr. Isaacs should have no problem accepting them.
