THe issue here is
the sensitivity of some of our minority groups to any interference in
their own cultural values and system.
Also, the dependence and trust many people lay in the local, similar
community leaders who incite them on important topics like education
etc.
This resuts in actually stabbing the same people in their backs whom
such leaders depend upon for votes.
Such local leaders' constant feeding the people with morale lowering
statements that "you are a minority", etc. actually fuels the belief
that they are a minority first and a nation later.THis is where they
win first. The votes come rushing in later.
Arjun SIngh is a smart and seasoned politician. It would suit him to
keep such innocent and misled people in their same situation.
THe problem must be addressed from within the community and its
leaders itself. In fact the muslims can easily challenge leaders like
Arjun Singh and seek out similar education boards as the CBSE etc.
