"If they are claiming to be ST, they are obviously Hindus" - Contradictory line, how a tribe can be Hindu (except by practice or reconversion etc)? By Govt of India, some tribes has been given the status of Scheduled Tribes in constitution while, few tribes are still not in scheduled tribes list. Govt can make any tribe or community schedule or de-schedule, its part of their policy to bring equitable developments but, it can't change religion of any one. In census, why govt of India putting STs within Hindu Category? This is debateable issue? Also, 7.5 percent Indian population known as STs has been led by non-STs despite many constituencies has been reserved for ST candidates. Some days ago, we heard in news that a tribal MLA in Chhattisgarh is an illiterate and another in Jharkhand appeared in Matriculation exam years after of becoming a MLA. This is the biggest drawback of our reservation system displayed yet, when an illiterate MLA decide policy for 80 percent literate population. When our govt can train engineers, doctors and pilots from ST/SC/BC community, then why not it train ST/SC/BC leaders before putting them on MLA or MP kind of high level of positions? You must be heard in news that many state cabinet ministers (MLA) are visiting abroad to attract investment in their state but, have you ever heard how many of these ministers are using English language Interpreter and cognition assistance by IAS qualified secretaries? When we people go for state level govt jobs then, we have been asked for needed qualification / skills including bribe but, why do we forget to check qualifications / skills of our leader? Actually, we do not forget it but, our existing system made us to forget it. Its not fault with an individual, all wants goodness but, our system is in control of business men who are sitting in Delhi or elsewhere and they do whatever they like just for their personal gain such as - in Jharkhand "MNC executives has been made elected as Rajya Sabha members from Jharkhand Seat, who had never visited Jharkhand before winning for Rajya Sabha?"
