thanks for the response. Soe of the officials are now changing their title to camoflague their caste- on the basis of which they were selected to the services. The good & brilliant amongst them are also feeling inferiority complex though they would match any of their general caste conunter parts. The call for reforms has to come from within, from the oppressed segment of the community. If i am not wrong, the kandhmal problem in Orissa is becuase of this fear of the tribals that the dalits will corner all their beenfits if status is given on the basis of their language. I think people like you should support oppressed segment from the dalit community to raise their voice. rgds Biswajit __._,_.___
