I am surprised on how you came to conclusion that there are no
documentation in dharampal's books?

I should say, it was not his book.. rather, he collected numerous
india specific archives from british museum, and compiled them as one
book.

Dharampal himself had clarified that he was not a historian, and he
entirely relied on british archivals..

For me, this book is a valuable treasure, which brings
about many positive things about india, the societal structure, and
particularly the educational aspect of 18th century india.

Those who calls
themselves as secular, and dig only negatives about india.. and those
who calls themselves nationalists and seek to find positive things..
I belong to the second cadre..

Secondly, your allegation of women's subjugation is baseless and
without substantiation..
There are many cases where women suffered.. but to portray a generic
picture for whole india is totally unjust..

And do you feel, women enjoyed freedom in all other countries?

Still, the women are not allowed to be a priests in any of the
churches.. they cannot be a bishop.. there can be no women pope in
vatican.. still america could not tolerate the idea of a women being
a president..

Women were given voting rights only in the 19th century.. the
following link will give you the timing of women's voting rights..

So, compared to india, women had been subjugated, suppressed in almost
all the countries.. and if we study the history of other nations, we
will understand, that women had been many times far better than those..
