Arnab Sen write Something needs to be done about the Birhor, and it needs to be done now. Tomorrow may be too late. I have met a Birhor community in Bhadua, in the hills of Purbi Singbhum. I have never seen human defeat so on-your-face. Making them dependent on government food rations is at best a short term solution. Can we not think of something more dignified? Anyone listening??

Dr Walter Fernandes write No Government will acknowledge starvation-related deaths. The closest they come to is to say that they will malnourishment-related disease deaths. But we need to stop this type of deaths. At the same time, please stop using the work "primitive" tribe. It is outdated and patronising. Walter __._,_.___
