Dear Stan, You have done a remarkable job of stating the obvious although those who pretend to be blind will still not see this grave displacement problem in the correct light. It is foolish to keep repeating that farming is non-sustainable and should give way to large scale industrialisation to give happiness to all. Firstly, those who say this are not farmers but those few who alone enjoy the fruits of industrialisation at the expense of a million others. Secondly, if we continue neglecting the farms and keep converting our rich farm lands into industries, from where are we supposed to get our foods to sustain our bodies? Thirdly, by taking away our farmlands from the land-owners, we are only converting people from proud owners of property to a life of bonded slavery.. Prem P.
