What would people leading Andholans or agitations know about flood control? And the quixotic suggestion of Medha Patkar who is known for getting funds from NGO-s abroad and shouting from platforms to stop the progress of Narmada Dam, but miserably failed? Are you aware she took all those long resettled tribals in Gujarat promising them more funds from Govt. for the agitation at Delhi? Flood Control is totally a technical topic and people like Patkar who may not know what is a cusec, may only be blank listeners without any contribution to discussions. Leave the matter to the Engineers and hydrologists who know best how to deal with a situation, WITHOUT POLITICAL INTERFERENCE! NGO-s too should keep awayechnical discussions as they do not have anything to contribute to the nuances of flood control. --- |
