I count myself a long-standing friend of many Jharkhandis (and Oriyas) with
whom I feel privilieged to
share information - and from whom to gain insight, even inspiration. When I
joined this forum some while back,
I hoped that - as with several similar Indian-based forums of which I'm a
member - information would
indeed be what I received: the kind that can't easily be obtained from other
India media, let alone from outside
the country.

It now seems fairly clear that, of late, this forum has been "hi jacked" by
a few persons who have little more than their
prejudices to communicate, and will take any opportunity to do so.
Unfortunately, others may then feel
they have to address every one of these often warped, sometimes
unintelligible missives, lest they be allowed
to fester and give a wrong impression of how a large number of other Indians
actually think.

I can understand this, but strongly counsel that people don't rise to the
bait (for such it surely is).

Im not so naive as to believe this will lead to an instant cessation of
such "poison penning," But at least
it will show those (including myself) who still have faith in this forum
being a true medium of education and exchange
of views ( including uncomfortable and contrary ones), that this is what
it is.

I really miss the reports, sometimes from village level, the industrial
news, the political insights,
which used to feature here. If the moderator is unwilling, or feels unable,
to censor the hate-mongering of late
then can other forum members try to redress the balance?
