Urgent - Invitation to Press Conference
Kandhamal Communal Violence – 'More to it than meets the eye'
Dear Friends,
We are writing to invite you to a Press Conference organised by the Concerned Citizen's Group that visited parts of Orissa (Kandhamal District) as part of a fact finding mission to investigate into and bring out the truth regarding the Communal violence that has gripped the state for the last one month.
Being one of the first groups to reach internal parts of violence affected areas of Kandhamal, the team will release its first interim report to the media and nation at the press conference.
Venue: Indian Women's Press Corps, 5 Windsor Place, New Delhi
Date: Thursday 25th September, 2008
Time: 2.30 pm onwards

Dr. Prakash Louis (Social Analyst & Director, Bihar Social Institute)
Mr. Vincent Manohar (Secretary, National Campaign for Dalit Human Rights)
Mr. Bijulal M.V. (Human Rights Activist, Indian Social Institute, Delhi)
The team members will present the interim report, findings and answer the queries. kindly do attend this important Press Conference and discussions.
